0.8.4 Latest

A manga and webtoon reader for your Suwayomi server.

What's new in v0.8.4

  • The page-by-page reader was completely rebuilt: you can now zoom and pan, page turns and double-page spreads feel smoother, and the controls match the long-strip reader.
  • You can now add your own tags to any manga from its details page.
  • You can now filter the library by tag, and search with terms like tag:seinen, author:oda, and rating:>=4. Tap the help icon in the search box for the full list.
  • Tapping a genre or tag on a manga's details page now offers to search your library, search all sources, or copy it.
  • You can now rate manga from 0 to 5 stars with Your rating on the details page, then sort the library by Rating or filter with Minimum rating.
  • New Comfortable grid display option for the library shows each title under its cover instead of on top of the art.
  • New Read progress bar display option shows a thin bar under each library cover with how much of the series you've read.
  • New Default category setting: pick where newly added manga go, or have the app ask each time.
  • New Categories to update setting: choose which categories a global library update checks.
  • New search boxes on the Sources and Extensions tabs filter each list by name as you type.

Fixes

  • The Android Back button now returns to the Library tab instead of closing the app.
  • After switching to a different server, the app now asks whether to clear the previous server's downloads (they used to show up in the new library).
  • In the long-strip reader, you can now scroll all the way to the end of chapters that finish with short pages, so those chapters mark as read.
  • Opening a chapter on its last page no longer marks it read.
  • Reading progress now always saves when you leave the reader.
  • Editing a manga's categories now updates the library immediately, and a failed save shows an error (it used to look saved).
  • Global Search now remembers whether you last searched your pinned sources or all of them.
  • The unread-count badge is now readable on light-accent themes like Monochrome.
  • Fixed a stray colored dot in the genre list on some sources.

Install

You'll need a running Suwayomi server. See Getting started.

Linux - Flatpak (recommended, auto-updates):

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists tsumiru https://suwayomi.github.io/Suwayomi-Tsumiru/index.flatpakrepo
flatpak install tsumiru io.github.aaronbamblett.tsumiru

Added the tsumiru remote before? It may still point at the old tsumiru-app.github.io URL. Run flatpak remote-delete tsumiru first, then the commands above.

Linux - AppImage (portable): download the …-linux-x86_64.AppImage below, mark it executable (chmod +x), and run it.

Android: grab the universal APK (or a per-ABI build). Windows / macOS / Web: attached below.

iOS (sideload only, advanced): the …-ios.ipa below is unsigned, so you can't just download and open it. Apple requires every app to be signed to your own account first, using one of these tools:

  • SideStore: signs and refreshes the app on-device, no computer needed after setup. For most people this is the best option.
  • AltStore: also signs the app, but it expires every 7 days and only auto-refreshes while a computer running AltServer is powered on and on the same Wi-Fi as your phone.
  • TrollStore: permanent install with no expiry, but only works on older iPhones/iOS versions with the required vulnerability.

With SideStore or AltStore the app must be re-signed periodically (the tools automate this). Only TrollStore avoids that. There is no App Store build.
