Categories
Categories let you split your library into tabs (by genre, reading status, or however you like). A series can belong to more than one category.
Manage your categories
Open the Edit Category screen from Settings → Library → Categories (also reachable from the More tab). There you can:
- Add a category (the + button) and name it.
- Reorder categories with the up/down arrows.
- Rename or delete a category. Deleting one moves its series back to the default category.
- Mark a category as the default for newly added series ("Default category when adding new manga to library").
The built-in default category can't be deleted.
Hide a category
Each category has a Hide category toggle in the Edit Category screen. A hidden category stays in your library and keeps its series, but its tab no longer shows in the Library view. Use it to keep a private or NSFW shelf off the main screen. Turn the toggle back off to bring the tab back.
Pair this with Incognito mode when you want to read without it touching your history.
Add a series to categories
Open a series, then use its Edit categories option and tick every category you want it in (a series can be in several at once). Untick to remove it.
Updating by category
When viewing a specific category tab in your Library, the overflow menu offers Category Update to refresh just that category, alongside Global Update for everything. You can also exclude entries from updates with the skip rules in Settings → Library. See the Library FAQ.
